Frequently Asked Questions

Yes! This tour is family-friendly and works well for kids who enjoy walking, stories, and sweet treats. Children ages 6–10 receive a discounted rate, and our tastings are spaced out to keep younger guests engaged.

The route is relaxed and mostly flat, covering downtown areas of Mackinac Island at an easy pace. There are frequent stops for storytelling, demonstrations, and tastings, so it never feels rushed or strenuous.

It certainly helps! But while fudge is the star, our tour also focuses heavily on island history, craftsmanship, and local culture. Even guests who don’t usually have a sweet tooth enjoy the behind-the-scenes stories and hands-on elements that our tour highlights.

The tour follows mostly flat downtown sidewalks and includes frequent stops, which makes much of the route accessible. However, access inside some historic fudge shops may be limited due to narrow doorways or small steps. Guests with mobility concerns are encouraged to contact us in advance so we can discuss the route and make the experience as comfortable as possible.

Our tours run rain or shine. Light rain usually doesn’t affect the experience, as many stops are indoors, and tasting fudge on a rainy day is just as good as on any other! In the case of severe weather, though, guests will be contacted directly with updates and options to reschedule or receive a refund.
